THE boost

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.–More than 450 credit unions are now participating in a new program that not only provides a steady stream of social media content, but which also offers new tools for dicing up that content, gets “fans” to push the content out themselves, and even speaks to the Holy Grail of social media investments by providing data around specific effectiveness and ROI.

NEEDHAM, Mass.—One credit union CEO says it’s hard to argue against the benefits of a low-overhead, almost virtual operation, as his own CU demonstrates, posting asset growth of 12% in 2015. It’s seeking to increase that figure to 15% this year.

ATLANTA—A new funding and liquidity option is now available to help low-income designated CUs actively manage their balance sheet and grow, giving LICUs access to an almost limitless source of deposits.

LAS VEGAS–A conference made up primarily of CU board members were told their credit unions would likely be better of if many of them didn’t return to the meeting in future years.
