FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.--Brendan Oman, a senior at the University of Arkansas,  won $5,000 for sinking four shots in a row, including a culminating half-court shot, in Arkansas Federal Credit Union's Bank Shot competition.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Genisys Credit Union was the premier sponsor for Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency’s (OLHSA) Walk for Warmth event, which was held at Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall in Auburn Hills.  Additionally, Genisys Credit Union members and employees raised over $32,000 to assure local neighbors stay warm during the winter months. 

GLENDORA, Calif.—At the Neighborhood Homework House (NHH) at Azusa Pacific University, an annual fundraising dinner was held with the theme of “Sowing Seeds of Knowledge,” and was sponsored in part by America’s Christian Credit Union (ACCU). The event’s program featured Homework House students and alumni sharing their success stories, spotlighting the positive impact that NHH has played in their lives. A raffle and donor appeal raised additional funds for the many programs that Homework House provides.

RIVERSIDE, Calilf. - A dozen Altura Credit Union employees brought books to life for elementary school children recently as part of a national literacy program, Read Across America.  They visited nine elementary schools in Riverside County, Calif., and read to the students.  Read Across America is celebrated every year close to the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss. 

GREENSBURG —Honda FCU here turned to arts students at Greensburg Community High School to create model guitars that are being used in-branch as part of an advertising campaign.

MADISON, Wis. –  Mariah Ortega-Flowers, a senior at James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, Wis., was awarded the Summit Faust Scholarship at the Boys & Girls Club Hearts for Helping event recently in Madison.

HAUPPAUGUE, N.Y.-- Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, C – NY-1), hosted a press conference at Teachers Federal Credit Union here, along with Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri and members of TFCU and IRS, to raise awareness of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a tax credit that benefits many working individuals and families, but unfortunately, is often underutilized.

BOULDER, Colo.—Forty-two employees of Westerra Credit Union participated in the Polar Plunges for Special Olympics here, including some employees taking the icy plunge at 8:50 a.m. when the temperature was just five degrees.
