RALEIGH, N.C. – The SECU Foundation, the charitable arm of State Employees Credit Union, co-sponsored an awards ceremony at the North Carolina Museum of History at which 38 individuals were honored with the highest privilege that can be bestowed upon a state employee – the Governor’s Awards for Excellence.
AUSTIN, Texas– Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union (GTFCU) raised $450 to support the non-profit Back on My Feet (BoMF) by participating in Sneaker Week. This is the third year that the credit union has supported Back on My Feet, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless and other underserved populations by first engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.
SAN BERNARDINO, CA—Arrowhead Credit Union team members have kicked off the holiday season with their annual tradition of donating grocery bags and boxes filled with food to Mary’s Mercy Center in San Bernardino. The San Bernardino charity provides meals, showers and clothing for those in need.
TAMPA, Fla. – GTE Financial has partnered again with Wheels of Success to provide a car to a local individual in need. The recipient, a nurse’s aide whose name is being withheld for security reasons, received the GTE-sponsored vehicle at GTE headquarters.
DECATUR, Ga. – Peach State Federal Credit Union has donated food to the Decatur-Area Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM), a nonprofit organization that provides emergency help for local residents to prevent homelessness and hunger.
HANSCOM AFB, Mass.– Jessica Read, manager of member relations for Hanscom FCU, received the 2014 Cushman Award at the credit union’s employee appreciation event.
WOODBURY, Minn. –Ideal Credit Union members, staff and the community once again helped to fill collection barrels to ensure kids in the Twin Cities metro area receive new or gently used coats this winter.
RALEIGH, N.C.– State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) staff, local Advisory Board volunteers and SECU Foundation officials were among several hundred community leaders and supporters in Wilmington to celebrate the opening of SECU Family House at New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC). The SECU Foundation first announced its support with a $2-million challenge grant in 2012.
