GLENDALE, Calif.–Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) donated gifts to the 22nd annual Spark of Love Toy Drive at the city of Glendale Fire Department.
Sponsored by ABC-7 TV and Southern California Firefighters, the campaign invited ABC-7 viewers and the public to donate new unwrapped toys or sports equipment at fire stations in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties during November and December. After donations were collected, firefighter agencies distributed the toys to underserved children and teens in local Glendale communities during the holiday season.
This year, the gifts LAFCU donated went toward 60 Spark of Love families adopted by the Glendale Fire Department, including one family whose son had a bike that was recently stolen. Thanks to LAFCU’s contribution, the parents were able to replace their son’s bike so he could ride it around his neighborhood during the holiday break.
