MAPLETON, Colo.– Two Colorado credit unions have announced plans to merge. Members of the $2.5-million Mapleton Public Schools Federal Credit Union have voted in favor of merging into the $1.55-billion, Denver-based Westerra Credit Union. The move has already been approved by both boards and NCUA.

APPLE VALLEY, Minn.– The Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN)has launched the new Minnesota Credit Union Employee Benefits Plan. The plan was approved by the Minnesota Department of Commerce in late August and to date, the plan has received nearly 40 requests for quotes from member credit unions headquartered in the state, the MnCUN said. The Employee Benefits Plan was formally introduced during a reception at Wings Financial Credit Union.

WASHINGTON—The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau should eliminate data points required by its 2015 Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) rule but not required by Dodd-Frank, according to CUNA, which submitted its comment letter to the CFPB on its advance notice of proposed rulemaking on HMDA data points and coverage.
