VENTURA, Calif.–The former manager of Limoneira FCU has been sentenced to a year in prison after she was found guilty of using the credit union’s funds to pay her own personal bills and approved fraudulent wire transfers totaling nearly $250,000.

WASHINGTON– After examining the growth of financial transactions in online video games and virtual worlds, the CFPB said it has found the platforms “increasingly resemble traditional banking and payment systems that facilitate the storage and exchange of billions of dollars in assets,” and consumers being harmed by scams or theft on gaming platforms and not receiving the protections they would expect under federal law.
