NEW YORK–It began its life with $570 as the Credit Union of Employees Conference Committee, City of New York, in 1916. A century later, the milestones it's seen–a Depression, a boom-and-bust city, endless "new" technologies and an up-close view of the collapsing towers of the World Trade Center–are milestones for all CUs, and it's history is celebrated here as International Credit Union Week kicks off.
