In the immediate aftermath of the crisis, in August 2009, my priority as NCUA chairman was, first and foremost, preventing the collapse of the credit union system.

While everyone is hearing about “record” car sales by the manufacturers, everything is not a bed of roses for those making loans on these vehicles.

A credit union’s logo, colors and tagline – the “look and feel” behind its brand – represent the visual symbols and reminders of what the credit union really means to its members.

Congress has headed home with many in the Senate and all of the House campaigning for re-election.

During meetings with credit unions leaders I frequently hear questions about blockchain, what credit unions need to know, and what they should be doing at this point in the development and application of the technology.
