SAVANNAH, Ga.–Georgia Heritage FCU announced college scholarship award winners for 2016. Bethany Dyals and Raquel Hazzard received $2,000 and $1,500 scholarship awards, respectively. Both students graduated from South Effingham High School in May. Bethany plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Georgia College and State University, while Raquel would like to work in a pediatrician’s office or children’s hospital. Raquel will major in chemistry with a minor in creative writing. Raquel hopes to continue her education at the Emory School of Medicine as she pursues a Doctorate in Medicine.
