WASHINGTON—A new report reinforces why credit unions need to continue to invest in mobile, finding that nearly one-in-five Americans depends on their cell phone for consistent Internet access, while a growing consumer segment uses their phones as their only means of accessing the web.

LAS VEGAS—Three credit union marketers representing a range of experience and asset sizes were part of a panel discussion Q&A here that covered everything from how to handle criticism in social media, how to deal with lending peaks and valleys, the effectiveness of direct mail, and more.

PHOENIX—That the average credit union is sitting on massive amounts of quantifiable consumer data that is the envy of many companies is no secret. Instead, the secret for many of those same CUs is how to unlock that data and do something with it.

LAS VEGAS—People in Stillwater, Okla. are about to get Smart. Jeremy Daggs and University and Community Credit Union have won the $10,000 prize here from the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council here as part of its Pitch contest.  Daggs was one of three finalists for the prize in which credit union marketers presented their ideas to meeting attendees and then attendees voted via text for the winner.
