WASHINGTON–Rich Meade, who recently left CUNA after serving as its chief operating officer, has rejoined Prime Policy Group as its vice chairman.

The company provides consulting, government relations and lobbying services.

Prime Policy Group said Meade will help oversee the firm’s overall strategic growth and manage its healthcare practice.

Meade recently shared his insights on credit unions and Capitol Hill with CUToday.info here.

Meade has more than 25 years of legislative, regulatory, political and public relations strategy experience, including more than 14 years in senior positions on Capitol Hill. Among his roles was chief of staff for the House Budget Committee, where he worked with current CUNA CEO Jim Nussle when Nussle was a congressman representing Iowa.

The company said Meade is known as one of the leading experts in the Budget Act including the complex budget reconciliation process.

“Rich is one Washington’s most prominent budget and healthcare policy experts,” said Charlie Black, chairman of Prime Policy Group. “His extensive network and unmatched institutional knowledge will provide clients yet another exceptional resource for navigating the Republican-controlled Congress and Administration. Rich’s unrivaled expertise in budgetary policy and budget reconciliation will be of particular value to clients in the years ahead.”

During his previous tenure at Prime Policy Group, Meade helped navigate complex regulatory and legislative landscapes to achieve favorable public policy outcomes for the firm’s clients, including transitioning to a new Medicare payment and quality system, according to Prime Policy Group.
