WASHINGTON—NAFCU told the CFPB that access to consumer data to power better personal finance products should focus on ensuring the security of consumers’ data and should not create new data-collection burdens and costs for credit unions.

ONTARIO, Calif.– During 2016 California’s credit unions generated a $17-billion economic impact in the state, while Nevada’s credit unions were responsible for $803 million in the state economy, according to a first-ever report that details jobs created, economic contributions, benefits to members, and community lending by credit unions in the two states.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla./BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–The League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates said it has joined with the National Federation of CDCUs to support the Juntos Avanzamos (Together We Advance) program. The goal of Juntos Avanzamos is to empower U.S. born and immigrant Hispanics.
