ST. LOUIS–For an increasing number of people, the American Dream of homeownership is becoming just that, a dream, especially in certain markets where affordability has become difficult for most. And now, rents are also becoming unaffordable for many.

ARLINGTON—NAFCU is offering four webinars in the next two weeks on issues it said are designed to help its member credit unions better prepare for challenges.

LATHAM, N.Y.–  Sunmark Federal Credit Union said it has applied to federal and state regulators to convert from a federal to a state-chartered credit union, with NCUA already signing off on the conversion pending completion of the application process between Sunmark and the New York Department of Financial Services.

TUSTIN, Calif.–The city of Tustin has approved plans by SchoolsFirst FCU to build a new three-story headquarters building at the site of its existing operations center at Newport and Del Amo avenues. The credit union is currently headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif.

CHICAGO–The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit dismissed a lawsuit against Illinois-based Aurora Policemen Credit Union that alleged its website violated the  violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
