LINCOLN, Neb.— Liberty First Credit Union here has been hit with two proposed federal class actions accusing the organization of negligently failing to protect the personal information of more than 52,000 people that was exposed in a September data breach, Bloomberg Law reported.

WASHINGTON—NCUA’s latest letter to credit unions outlines the agency’s supervisory approach to overdraft and non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee practices. Despite overdraft and NSF products being heavily regulated and demanded by credit union members, the letter claims overdraft and NSF fees can cause harm to consumers, America’s Credit Unions said.
