MADISON, Wis.–To highlight National Employee Wellness Month in June, the National Credit Union Foundation plans to hold a Twitter chat on Thursday, June 18 at 3 p.m. (CT) to discuss how credit unions include financial wellness as part of their internal programs.

WASHINGTON—With much speculation around the future of overdraft services and all its related income as the CFPB puts the product in its sights, CUNA is calling on the agency to move cautiously and recognize that many members have indicated they strongly support overdraft programs.

WASHINGTON—NAFCU and CUNA have joined with two banking industry trade groups in urging Congress to support an amendment to HR 1735, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016. Offered by Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina, the amendment contains the text of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (S. 754), which was recently approved on a near-unanimous and bipartisan basis by the Select Committee on Intelligence.

RICHMOND, Va.—Another sign that crooks may be increasing their ATM card skimming efforts, Virginia Credit Union reports it is reissuing plastic and handing out refunds as a result of local skimming attacks.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.—The decline in used car values increased in May, according to the latest report from Black Book. The average price of a used vehicle for model years 2009-2013 declined -1.2% in May, compared to April when prices were largely unchanged, the company stated.
