Great fundraisers need a passion that drives them, the ability to make and nurture relationships, and they should be storytellers, according to one expert.
The “business” of raising money for charitable organizations has gotten more difficult as the space has become saturated in recent years. In the newest installment of Dr. Brandi Luv Stankovic’s podcast, the Strategic Hotbox with Brandi Stankovic, titled, “How to Fundraise for Success,” guest Carlye Wund tells viewers they have to “Live it, Be it, Breathe it” to be successful at fundraising.
“You have to believe in what you are fundraising for, through and through,” she said.
Wund is Director of Development at Firefighter Aid. Carlye discusses the importance of storytelling as a way to connect with others and inspire them to be part of the cause.
