MADISON, Wis.–Nevada has become the latest state to launch CUNA’s Your Money Further campaign, better known to many as the “Open Your Eyes” national awareness initiative.
At the same time, the organization has also released some insights into the traffic the YourMoneyFurther.com website is seeing, from which states most visitors are coming, and who is visiting.
In Nevada, four credit unions have signed on as participants: Financial Horizons CU, Great Basin FCU, Silver State Schools CU and WestStar CU.
The expansion into Nevada brings to 32 the number of states in which credit unions are participating, and four months after a relaunch of the YourMoneyFurther.com site.
“We’ve moved from awareness and consideration to awareness and engagement,” said Chris Lorence, executive director of CU Awareness, LLC. “We’ve seen an epic increase in consumer traffic and as well as searches using our proprietary search and credit union matcher.”
According to Lorence, since April 1 the YourMoneyFurther.com site has seen 13.2 million visitors, after seeing 6.3 million in all of 2021, “and that was our record year,” he said.
Who’s Visiting & From Where
According to Lorence, site traffic data also reveal:

- Consumers generally seeking a credit union within 10 miles of their current locations.
- Visitors have been using the site’s filter to seek information on consumer counseling, financial education and mobile banking before seeking information on products and services.
- The average age of visitors is 30.
- 90% of visits to the site come via a mobile device, and 82% of those are via an iPhone.
- The most searched subjects are saving money, who can join, and cryptocurrency.
