EL PASO, Texas–evolve FCU hosted its annual Spring break at the movies event throughout March.
For the past two years evolve said it has hosted private movie screenings for some local children’s organizations. This year was no exception as evolve was able to host six private screenings at Cinemark throughout the month of March. Each screening included up to 50 movie tickets with a Refreshment drink, popcorn and a candy of choice for each person.
The films that were shown for the screenings were Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
The first Spring Break at the movies screening kicked off on March 9th when the Lee and Beulah Moor Children’s Home watched Puss in Boots The second screening was on March 11th when Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso watched the action-packed Ant-Man and the Wasp. The third screening took place on March 16th where the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence watched Puss in Boots. The fourth and fifth screenings took place on March 18th where El Paso Children’s Miracle Network, Candlelighters and The Child Crisis Center watched Puss in Boots. The sixth and last screening took place on March 25th where the families from Make-A-Wish of El Paso enjoyed Puss in Boots, the credit union said.
“For many of the kids that attended these private screenings, it was their first time attending a movie theater because for many of these families, it is out of their financial means,” evolve FCU said, adding the event wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful staff at Cinemark Cielo Vista 14 & XD, their corporate offices and the management and staff there at the theater.
