WORCESTER, Mass.–Worcester Credit Union members, staff and board of directors worked together to raise funds to support Worcester’s University of Massachusetts Medical School Foundation and its affiliate, UMass Memorial Medical Center.
The credit union collected $1,516 in contributions that were divided evenly to support breast cancer research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and patient care/treatment at UMass Memorial Healthcare. The University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester is home to leading Breast Cancer researchers, bringing the latest in cancer treatment to Worcester. UMass Memorial Medical Center treatment teams are comprised of breast cancer specialists skilled at serving the individualized needs of breast cancer patients. Area patients can stay close to home, friends and family during treatment, avoiding the discomfort and expense of traveling to another city, WCU noted.
