Whitefish CU Debit Card Supports Schools

WHITEFISH, Mont. Through Whitefish Credit Union’s innovative School Spirit Debit Card campaign, the credit union said it is giving $11,410 to local high schools.

Each high school spends the donations based on their unique needs, and in the past these funds have been put towards supporting STEM programs, athletic teams, and classroom materials, according to WCU.

Whitefish Credit Union’s High School Spirit Debit Card program allows members to choose a MasterCard debit card featuring their chosen high school’s color and logo. When a new card is issued, the credit union donates $5 to the school displayed on that card. Whitefish CU is currently partnered with Bigfork High School, Columbia Falls High School, Flathead High School, Glacier High School, Lincoln County High School, Polson High School, Thompson Falls High School, and Whitefish High School.

"Each community we serve has a strong relationship with their local high school," said Josh Wilson, VP-marketing for Whitefish Credit Union. "We are proud to support our local high schools and give our members another opportunity to show their school spirit."
