HARRISBURG, Penn. – Shawn W. Weis, Assistant Counsel for the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority, was named as the newest member of the PSECU Board of Directors during a meeting on May 30. Weis’s appointment as a Director follows her service to the organization as an Associate Director since 2013.
“Having worked alongside Shawn Weis during her time as Associate Director for the past four years, I’ve seen firsthand the exceptional skills and dedication that she brings to the table,” said PSECU Board Chair Joseph Sassano. “Speaking for the entire PSECU Board of Directors, it’s a great pleasure to welcome Shawn to her new position. Together, we look forward to continued collaboration and progress as we strive to best serve the credit union’s members.”
In addition to her experience with the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Development Authority where she has been employed since 2005, Weis previously served as Legal Counsel to KnowledgePlanet, Inc., an international software platform company; as a Clinical Staff Professor for Penn State’s Dickinson Law; and as an Associate Attorney for Keefer Wood Allen & Rahal, LLP.
Active in the community, Weis is a member of Ladies First in Public Finance, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Office of General Counsel (Technology Practice Group, Public Finance Practice Group, Transactions Practice Group, and Records Access Management Group). She has also contributed significantly to the Government Lawyers Committee, serving as Vice Chair from 2007-2008 and Chair from 2008-2009.

Weis earned her Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Elizabethtown College.
Weis fills a position on the PSECU Board of Directors that became available upon the retirement of longtime Board Director George West, who served in the role since 1980.
