PENSACOLA, Fla.– New Horizons Credit Union has announced the grand opening of its tenth branch, this one in downtown Pensacola. The Grand Opening was in conjunction with the Blue Wahoos Opening Night for both a grand opening and tailgate event.
New Horizons Credit Union is headquartered in Mobile, Ala. with nine branches located throughout South Alabama and now with the tenth branch opening in Pensacola as the first branch in Florida.
“New Horizons Credit Union is excited to be part of Pensacola and its downtown community,” said Lisa Corvo, president/CEO. “Moving into Pensacola makes sense since we serve many of the industries in the Mobile area which build the ships and planes that military and DOD personnel in Pensacola actually work aboard and utilize. We need to be accessible to all our members and potential members wherever they may live. Our field of membership allows us to serve members in the surrounding counties.”
The grand opening included a ribbon cutting by the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce and the Blue Wahoo mascot, Kazoo. The event featured a tailgate Bar-B-Que, musicians, as well as, a live-remote broadcast by Cat Country 98.7 FM, and the ECUA Quench Buggy. Door prizes included a family 4-pack of tickets to the Blue Wahoo Baseball Opening Night Game.
