NASHVILLE, Tenn.–Employees of Volunteer Corporate Credit Union (VolCorp) contributed $1,620 to the Dollywood Foundation to help support the victims of the fire that devastated Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge at the end of November 2016.
Saddened to hear of the devastation caused by the wildfires in the Smokey Mountains, VolCorp’s Activity Committee researched ways for the employees to help. During the month of December, the committee collected donations from employees in the amount of $810. In addition to the monetary donations, clothing was also donated.
“In times like these, the generosity of our employees’ shines through,” said Jeff Merry, CEO of VolCorp. “We are very humbled and thankful for the amazing hearts and response of our employees in their donation efforts.”
VolCorp matched all employee contributions for a total donation of $1,620.
