PITTSBURGH, Penn.–Vizo Financial teamed up with the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation to provide an educational event for Pittsburgh-area credit unions to learn more about Children’s Miracle Network and the hospital.
The event was held at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and featured information sessions on CMN Hospitals, CU4Kids and the Foundation, as well as a tour of the hospital. Credit unions also gave testimonials about their uplifting experiences with CMN Hospitals and CU4Kids. In addition, guests were treated to a continental breakfast and networking lunch.
“The goal of this educational event was to show credit unions the impact they have on their local children’s hospital through their involvement with CMN Hospitals and CU4Kids,” said Erin Doan, administration and community relations director for Vizo Financial. “We wanted them to see first-hand that their donations and volunteer efforts go a long way in bringing better medical care to children in their communities.”
Despite the previous day’s winter weather, 17 credit union staff members from 10 different Pittsburgh area credit unions attended the event.
“We were incredibly happy with the turnout for this event,” said Doan. “It really goes to show that our movement is dedicated to making a difference and lending a helping hand to a charity that touches so many lives.”
