MIDDLETOWN, Penn.–Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union and six Pittsburgh-area credit unions joined together both virtually and in-person to walk with a cause at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation’s Walk for Children’s event.
Walk for Children’s is an annual family walk event that benefits Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh ofUPMC – a Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital – by bringing the community together andraising money for patient care.
Vizo Financial employees and their families, as well as representatives from the following creditunions, participated in the walk, purchased a team sponsorship and/or helped to collectively donate $2,186 for the cause as part of the Pittsburgh credit unions team.
Participating CUs included New Alliance FCU, Pheple FCU, Century Heritage FCU, Clearview FCU, CHROME FCU and Visionary FCU.
“The Walk for Children’s event is very close to our hearts here at Vizo Financial,” said Erin Doan,administration and community relations director of Vizo Financial. “Every year this incredible eventallows our credit union community to come together and raise money to help support the children andfamilies being cared for by Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.”
Including the donation from the Pittsburgh Credit Unions team, the 2021 Walk for Children’s eventbrought in $779,039.81.
“We’re always so excited to take part in this event, and we are so grateful to the credit unions that help us make a difference for the kids at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC,” said Doan. “After all, we are simply people helping people!”
