Virginia Credit Union To Open First New Branch In Expanded Territory In Blacksburg

BLACKSBURG, Va.— Virginia Credit Union has opened a new branch at 200 N. Main St., marking the first new location in its expanded service territory following its merger with Member One Federal Credit Union.

The 3,700-square-foot branch will include a drive-thru with a multifunction ATM, two walk-up multifunction ATMs and a 2,400-square-foot community room, the credit union said.

VACU said the Blacksburg office reflects its push to expand service in the New River Valley following the merger, while it continues branch conversions in the New River and Roanoke valleys and in Lynchburg as former Member One locations transition to the VACU brand.

“We are thrilled to open our doors in such a vibrant and dynamic area of our service territory,” President/CEO Chris Shockley said in a statement, adding the new branch underscores the credit union’s commitment to investing in the communities it now serves.
