RICHMOND, Va.--The Virginia CU League announced staffing moves.
CeJae Vtipilson, who joined the League in 2016, has been promoted to Vice President of Political Affairs. He will continue his work promoting the League’s legislative and regulatory priorities at the state and federal levels as part of the League’s advocacy team. He also manages the Virginia Credit Union Political Action Committee (VACUPAC), a critical element of our advocacy efforts.
“CeJae has been an important part of our advocacy work throughout his tenure at the League,” said League Interim CEO Karima Freeman. “From his lobbying work here in Richmond and on Capitol Hill to building our pool of grassroots advocates to helping us develop our advocacy strategy, CeJae’s passion and enthusiasm for advocacy and credit unions shine through.”
Jasmine Mines, who joined the League in 2022, has been promoted to Director of Marketing. She’ll now lead the League’s marketing function, including strategy and content creation for print and digital channels, management of the League’s social media presence, support of the League Service Corporation and TRGroup initiatives, marketing for League events, and coordinating the League’s public relations work.
“Jasmine brought a wealth of creativity and digital communications experience to the League and her work these past two years has enabled us to better engage with all our key audiences -- from member credit unions to business partners to lawmakers,” said Freeman.
Lewis Wood, Vice President of Public Relations and Communication, is departing the League, effective March 26.
“Lewis has been an integral part of our journey, contributing immensely to our success and growth during his almost 27 years with us,” said Freeman. “We’re pleased that his talents and passion for credit unions will be put to good use elsewhere, but his professionalism, creativity, and collaborative spirit will be missed at the League.”
