Ventura County Credit Union hires Miller As Community Development Manager

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif.  — Ventura County Credit Union has hired Melissa Miller to serve as community development manager.

In this role, Miller oversees the credit union’s community partnerships, events and sponsorships. Prior to joining VCCU, Miller spent 14 years working in the multifamily property sector managing large resort properties. She then served as member retention and advertising manager for the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce for four years. Through these positions, she developed significant business and community development expertise, fine-tuning her innate talent for building mutually beneficial partnerships.

“Melissa’s natural ability to form connections and her many years of experience in community development make her a perfect fit for this role,” said VCCU’s CEO, Linda Rossi. “We’re thrilled to have her on board, and we’re looking forward continuing to strengthen our community involvement with the help of her knowledge and skill.”

When she’s not working, Miller spends her time volunteering with Shelter Hope Pet Shop, Operation Gratitude and Surfrider Foundation. She also serves on the executive board for Las Colinas Middle School as PTSA president.

“I have always been passionate about helping others,” Miller said. “In my new role at VCCU, I’m excited to have the opportunity to use my expertise to build relationships that will benefit both the credit union and the community I am proud to call home.”
