VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. — Ventura County Credit Union has named John Cooke vice president of consumer and mortgage lending.
In this role, Cooke, who has more than two decades of experience in credit union leadership, will collaborate with VCCU’s chief lending officer to oversee the credit union’s consumer and mortgage loan products and lending team.

Prior to joining VCCU, Cooke was a digital lending innovation consultant for CUNA Mutual, partnering with a cross-functional team on design, development and launch of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions that supported an end-to-end loan origination experience. He has also served as senior vice president for Mission Federal Credit Union and chief lending officer for USE Credit Union. Through these roles, he gained experience leading diverse teams, developing effective strategic plans and overseeing lending operations to enhance the member experience.
