VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. — Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU) donated a total of $50,000 to support 11 local nonprofits that have been helping Ventura County through the coronavirus pandemic. These contributions were part of the credit union’s #VCCUCares program, which focuses on supporting the local community.
VCCU donated $2,000 each to five local Boys & Girls Clubs, including the Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark & Simi Valley, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Ventura, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme, and Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley.
In addition, VCCU gave $10,000 to Food Share of Ventura County, $5,000 to the Mixteco/ Indígena Community Organizing Project (MICOP), $10,000 to Health Care Foundation For Ventura County (HCFVC), $10,000 to Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF), $2,500 to Senior Concerns, and $2,500 to Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA).
“These nonprofits have been making a major difference for so many people in our community during this challenging time,” said VCCU’s president and CEO, Linda Rossi. “We are grateful for their efforts and honored to support them as they continue to make a positive impact here in Ventura County.”
