VCCU Promotes Zaragoza, Hires Doniaz

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. — VCCU has promoted Arturo Zaragoza to director of financial equity programs and hired Jaime Doniaz as financial inclusion and education manager.

Arturo Zaragoza

Zaragoza has served as a branch manager at VCCU for nine years and has more than 16 years of experience working in the financial services industry. His efforts to support the financial well-being and inclusion of diverse individuals and groups throughout the community have earned him recognition and awards from the Pacific Coast Business Times, Oxnard High School District, Consulate of Mexico and Oxnard Chamber of Commerce. He is also a Ventura County Leadership Academy graduate, advisory board member for the UCSB Customer Experience Program, Food Share volunteer and youth soccer coach.

Jaime Doniaz

Doniaz has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 10 years in credit union marketing and business development. Prior to joining the VCCU team, he led the multicultural efforts for the largest credit union in Kern County, including overseeing financial literacy, developing Hispanic outreach efforts and establishing enduring relationships with many community organizations. He is a Leadership Bakersfield graduate and recognized in Bakersfield Life Magazine’s “20 Under 40 People to Watch.” He has also served as a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Kern and Tulare-Kings counties, as well as on various Hispanic advisory councils.

“A lot of people take financial literacy and financial services for granted, but for some people in our community, access to these vital skills and resources is limited,” said Tina Estes, VCCU’s vice president of marketing and community development. “Financial inclusion can have a lifechanging impact, and through these changes to our team, we are expanding our ongoing efforts to help all members of our community get the support they need to improve their financial well-being.”
