University of Illinois Community Credit Union Names Vermillion Chief Risk Officer.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill– University of Illinois Community Credit Union has named Travis Vermillion Chief Risk Officer.Vermillion brings over 12 years of experience serving with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). He was a Lead NCUA Examiner managing teams throughout the Midwest, and he was awarded as the NCUA Examiner of the Year on three different occasions. “We’re thrilled to have Travis joining our executive team as Chief Risk Officer,” said Chris Harlan, UICCU President/CEO. “Safety and security is foundational to our long-term success, and I’m confident of the positive impact Travis will have on our risk strategy”. Vermillion's responsibilities include a broad portfolio of functions designed to maintain the integrity of UICCU’s continued efforts to identify, monitor and mitigate key risks facing the credit union and be accountable for enabling the efficient and effective governance of significant risks, and related opportunities. In this role, Vermillion will provide executive oversight to the credit union's risk management teams.
