University Credit Union Announces Selection of New Vice President, Senior Lending Officer

MIAMI, Fla. — University Credit Union has named Kenneth Palmer as its new vice president, senior lending officer. Credit Union Resources conducted the executive search for the $206 million dollar credit union based in Miami.

Palmer’s credit union experience and expertise in lending will be a valuable asset to the executive team at University CU. His passion for lending strategy and product development will help University continue to provide exceptional service to its members.
Palmer comes to University from CU Direct, where he served as regional director. He was responsible for developing tactics to increase revenue and profitability within a territory consisting of Florida and Alabama. At CU Direct, Palmer generated an increase of more than $100,000 monthly revenue and fee income within a two-year period.
Prior to working at CU Direct, Palmer was the director of lending and business development at Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union, where he was responsible for all aspects of consumer lending including Visa, indirect, mortgage, and branch loans. Palmer developed two new SEGs at the credit union, which created 100 new members monthly.
Palmer holds a bachelor of business administration with a major in international business from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.
