LOS ANGELES–University Credit Union sponsored two opportunities for university students to win $25,000 towards tuition with their 2ndannual half-court shots at both Pepperdine and Loyola-Marymount Universities, respectively.
“The team at UCU would love nothing more than to see a student sink that shot, feel the energy of the crowd, and award $25,000 toward their education goals,” said Dr. David Tuyo, president & CEO of University Credit Union. “It is always a fun event to be part of and a great opportunity for UCU to engage with the University communities.”
In only the second year hosting, more than 300 students between Pepperdine and LMU signed up for their moment to shoot from center court. Five students from each university were invited to appear at the game, with a main contestant selected at halftime. Although no winning basket was made at either event, 10 lucky students did walk away with a $100 gift card and a UCU prize package.
