WASHINGTON–In celebration of Credit Union Youth Month, United States Senate Federal Credit union is highlighting financial literacy with a colorful collection of children’s books.
Hand-selected by credit union staff, donations include an array of books recommended for introducing and teaching children of all ages about money. Collections are being donated throughout April to USSFCU’s youth-centered Select Employee Groups (SEGs).
“By engaging children early, we can set them on the path to financial education, understanding and security,” the credit union said. “Staying true to the Credit Union philosophy, USSFCU hopes to bring special attention to the important role financial education plays in helping children become financially healthy adults.”
In addition to the United States Senate, USSFCU’s field of membership extends to over 150 other SEGs, including the youth-focused Communities in Schools, National Head Start Foundation, and Browne Academy.
