ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union has been recognized as a Family Friendly Business Award platinum recipient for the 10th consecutive year, honoring the credit union's commitment to workplace policies that support employees and their families. The recognition, presented by the nonprofit Family Friendly New Mexico, also included a special designation for the credit union's support of employee education.
U.S. Eagle, which serves more than 98,000 members, said the award reflects its ongoing investment in family-friendly workplace policies and professional development. "U.S. Eagle is thrilled to receive this distinguished honor for 10 consecutive years as we place high importance on having family-friendly policies and procedures in our workplace," Chief Human Resources Officer Maggie Tannen said. She added that investing in employee education and development benefits the organization, its employees and the communities it serves.
The Education Support designation recognizes organizations that go beyond traditional workplace benefits by helping employees pursue educational opportunities. Family Friendly New Mexico works with employers across the state by providing training, resources and guidance on policies such as paid family leave, child care assistance and other family-focused workplace benefits.
"As we grow the state's economy, we have the opportunity to be a national leader in offering New Mexicans workplaces that help companies attract and keep the best workers," said Giovanna Rossi, founder and board chair of Family Friendly New Mexico. Rossi said research shows investments in family-friendly benefits improve productivity, employee morale and retention while helping employers compete for qualified workers.
