TUCSON, Ariz.–Tucson Federal Credit Union (TFCU) won the Community Impact Award presented by the Society of Human Resource Management of Greater Tucson (SHRM). The award ceremony, Celebrating Innovation in the Workplace, took place at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.
SHRM said it selected TFCU because of the organization’s employee driven efforts in addition to their corporate philanthropic policy. As a community-focused organization, TFCU considers this human resources perspective an additional honor of the recognition. TFCU’s nomination focused on Team Make a Difference, a group of independent employee-volunteers. The committee promotes volunteerism and philanthropy within the organization and led the way for notable acts of kindness like the “Ultimate Savings Deposit,” a drive that collected over 4,100 items of food for homeless teens.
