Tucson FCU Donates $45,000 To 3 Organizations

TUCSON, Ariz.–Tucson Federal Credit Union (TFCU) announced $45,000 in donations to three local non-profit organizations as part of its Sixth Annual Community Partnership Awards. TFCU selected the recipients based on their community impact and their dedication to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”

At the official check presentation TFCU awarded Aviva Children’s Services with $25,000 and both Tu Nidito and Intermountain Centers for Human Development with $10,000. “These organizations make awe-inspiring efforts to strengthen our community and transform lives. We’re honored to contribute to their success,” said Susan Stansberry, TFCU’s President/CEO.

Aviva Children’s Services provides services to children who are victims of neglect, abuse, poverty, and are in the care of the Department of Child Safety. The funds will be used to remodel a visitation center which is vital to the family reunification process.

Tu Nidito provides emotional, social, and educational tools to children and families whose lives have been impacted by a serious illness or death. The funds will support the Children to Children bereavement support groups and the concurrent support groups for their parents and caregivers, where they learn how to support their grieving child.

Intermountain Centers for Human Development provides services for children and adults diagnosed with serious emotional disabilities, mental illness, and developmental delays. The funds will be directed to the Intermountain Academy where children with autism are provided with resources to reach their full potential.
