WASHINGTON--The Trust for Credit Unions (TCU) Board of Trustees have appointed Erin Mendez, President/CEO of Patelco Credit Union, as their newest trustee.
The trustees are a vital component of TCU’s organizational and governance structure. On behalf of TCU’s credit union investors, the Board of Trustees oversees the performance of each service provider and monitors risk management, the organization said.
“Their ability to take the long view of TCU’s role in supporting credit unions is critical to our success,” said Jay Johnson, President of TCU. “The Board of Trustees ensures that the best interest of our investors is the dominant factor in every discussion.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Erin Mendez to the Board of Trustees,” said Jim Regan, President/CEO of Digital Federal Credit Union and TCU Board Chair. “Her deep knowledge of the industry and strategic leadership skills will strengthen TCU and help us to continue to evolve our offerings.”
“I’m excited to take on this new role as a TCU Trustee to ensure that current and future credit union investors benefit from industry-specific investment options,” said Mendez. “TCU has built a strong history of performance for over 30 years. Together with my fellow Trustees, I look forward to continuing to deliver value to our investors.”
