TruStone Financial Staff Raise Funds for Red Cross

PLYMOUTH, Minn.–TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union employees raised $1,055 for the American Red Cross to support hurricane relief. The TruStone Financial Foundation then matched these funds dollar-for-dollar for a total donation of $2,110.

Each month TruStone Financial hosts a Charity Casual Day to support local charities or causes that resonate with their employees. Staff members have the opportunity to donate money to that month’s cause in order to wear jeans, and together the company unites to make a difference. In 2017, contributions to the dress down day have totaled more than $16,000.

“Our employees consistently show their deep generosity with our Charity Casual Days, and raising money for the American Red Cross was no exception,” commented TruStone Financial Chief Business Officer Steve Steen. “It’s incredibly moving to see our credit union come together to help those in need, it’s truly people helping people, our credit union philosophy in action.”

The American Red Cross has the humanitarian mission to bring disaster relief services such as shelter, food and comfort to those who need it most. In response to the American Red Cross’ relief efforts, TruStone Financial CEO Tim Bosiacki stated, “We are proud to present this donation to an organization that is making a positive impact on those who have been affected by the recent hurricanes in Texas, Louisiana, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.“
