TruStone Financial Staff Give Back

PLYMOUTH, Minn.– TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union and TruStone Home Mortgage employees joined thousands of other credit union employees in giving back to their communities for CU Forward Day. CU Forward Day is a Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) initiative to fulfill credit unions’ “people helping people” philosophy.

Credit union employees across Minnesota and beyond spent the federal holiday volunteering for local charities of their choice. Altogether, 269 TruStone employees volunteered 1,076 hours of service to 26 organizations and communities throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Some of the organizations supported included Simon Says Give, Second Harvest Heartland, Hope 4 Youth and the United Way.

“We were thrilled to be part of the third annual CU Forward Day,” said TruStone Financial CEO Tim Bosiacki. “TruStone has always been dedicated to improving our neighbors’ lives through promoting financial well-being, but this day gives us the opportunity to help address our communities’ other needs, as well.”

TruStone Financial’s Director of Minnesota Branches, Lisamarie Meyer, said CU Forward Day is an important day for the credit union. “This year, we volunteered for organizations that have meaningful connections to our members and staff. We were grateful for another opportunity to build relationships and partnerships in our neighborhoods.”
