TruStone Financial Raises Funds for Make-A-Wish

PLYMOUTH, Minn.–TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union employees selected Make-A-Wish Minnesota as the beneficiary of their December Charity Casual Day and raised $641 for the nonprofit. The TruStone Financial Foundation matched these funds dollar-for-dollar for a total donation of $1,282.

Between employees’ generous donations and the TruStone Financial Foundation match, more than $21,200 has been donated to charities in 2017 as a result of TruStone Financial’s monthly Charity Casual Day.

Make-A-Wish Minnesota grants wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions. A child’s wish being granted is often felt to be a turning point in the battle against their illnesses.

“We are inspired by the work Make-A-Wish Minnesota does to brighten the lives of children diagnosed with a life-threatening illness,” said TruStone Financial Chief Business Officer Steve Steen. “Our credit union employees and the TruStone Financial Foundation are proud to support an organization that brings such joy to those needing it most.”

TruStone Financial also hosts a Charity Casual Day every month to raise funds for causes near and dear to employees’ hearts. After donating their funds on a designated Friday, employees have the opportunity to wear jeans throughout their work day. TruStone Financial and the TruStone Financial Foundation look forward to continuing their support of local organizations with their monthly Charity Casual Days in 2018.
