MAPLE GROVE, Minn.– TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s location here hosted a Bike Rodeo in partnership with Maple Grove Fire Station 5. This free event promoted bike and fire safety to community members at the local fire station.
Nearly 50 helmets were distributed at no cost to local youth in attendance. Attendees were also invited to put out a fake fire, explore the station and sit in a fire truck.
Presten Bean, assistant vice president and branch manager of the TruStone Financial Maple Grove location organized the event. “Our people helping people philosophy spreads beyond our credit union walls and into the community we serve,” Presten shared. “I am ecstatic the first annual bike rodeo was well received in the community. I look forward to making an even bigger impact next year.”
Maple Grove Fire Department Captain Lucas Weigelt shared his gratitude for the credit union’s efforts: “We really appreciate the partnership we have with TruStone Financial to help keep the younger members of our community safe through bike helmet distribution.”
