TruMark Financial Golf Tourney Raises $33,000

FORT WASHINGTON, Penn.–One-hundred seventeen golfers turned out for TruMark Financial Credit Union’s fifth annual Building Financial Futures Golf Classic at Talamore Country Club, raising more than $33,000 in support of financial literacy.

Competitors tested their skills at the following contests: putting, closest to the pin, golferoo, and men’s and women’s longest drive. In the hole in one competition, participants vied for a chance to win $10,000.

“We appreciate the overwhelming support from our sponsors, employees, vendors, credit union colleagues, and guests who attended the event and joined us in our mission to provide grants for local schools in need of personal finance resources,” said CEO Richard F. Stipa.

Financial education continues to be a priority at TruMark Financial, the credit union said. The grants allow schools to purchase resources such as textbooks, computer software programs, and math manipulatives to teach the fundamentals of saving, borrowing, and investing.
