Tower FCU Relocates Branch

ANNAPOLIS, Md.–Tower FCU has announced the relocation of its branch here from its former location on Riva Road to a new, expanded location at 810 Bestgate Road. The new branch offers Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) technology to provide safe, secure transactions, encourage social distancing and reduce face-to-face interactions, the credit union said.

“Even before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, plans were in the works to install ITM technology in our new Annapolis branch,” says Alvin Smith, Tower’s SVP of Member Services. “Video Banking provides a safer transaction for the member and teller, and offers a combination of convenience, an empowered member experience and personal self-service transactions. Given social distancing protocols and the reduction of face-to-face exchanges due to the virus, Tower’s decision to add ITMs now seems to be an even wiser one.”

In addition to ITMs inside the branch, Smith said the new location also offers convenient drive-up video banking service for those who are unable to or do not wish to leave their cars.

“We are excited to offer a new, improved branch for our Annapolis-area members, and for our members living on or traveling to and from Maryland’s Eastern Shore,” Smith said. “The new branch offers ITM options for safer, contactless transactions, and the convenience and efficiency of state-of-the-art banking technology without sacrificing the personalized, friendly service our members deserve and have come to expect from their credit union.”
