WEST HARTFORD, Conn.–As a continued Grand Opening celebration for its newest West Hartford Branch, Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union has made a $5,000 donation to Duffy Elementary School. Each of the 16 West Hartford public schools competed for votes for this giveaway.
“The town of West Hartford is such a strong, welcoming community. We felt so grateful for the support when we opened, that we wanted to give back in a way that influenced the most,” said John Holt, president and CEO of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union.
Voting was open to the general public. Nutmeg presented the check to Kristi Laverty, Principal of Duffy Elementary, and Joy Russell, President of Duffy’s PTO. John Holt was in attendance, along with Sally Geigel, West Hartford Branch Manager, to present the check.
The West Hartford branch, located at 973 Farmington Avenue, is the first of its kind for the credit union with a primary focus on educating members on how to bank with technology and the ease of use for its online e-Services, the credit union said.
