OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has named Deborah Jones of Lexington, Okla. as the winner of its 2024 storm shelter loan payoff sweepstakes.
Her loan was selected at random from all other TFCU active storm shelter loans in good standing, and her balance of $4,264 was paid in full.
“We heard TFCU was a great place to finance our storm shelter purchase and it was a piece of cake,” Jones said. “I couldn’t quite believe that we won the payoff. It was fantastic.”
“Jones, who works in sales in both Oklahoma and Kansas, is no stranger to the importance of being weather prepared,” the credit union said. Noting she and her husband bought a house in Lexington, and one of the first things they did was look into getting a storm shelter.
“From growing up in Missouri and experiencing a historic tornado in Ruskin Heights to now living and working in tornado alley, I’ve seen plenty of big storms in my life,” Jones explained. “It’s great peace of mind to know I’ve got the shelter.”
