BANNOCKBURN, Ill. – On a recent Saturday, employees from the Round Lake Beach branch of Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) visited their local Dunkin’ Donuts and performed numerous random acts of kindness. Griselda Guadarrama, Branch Manager, and her team purchased breakfast for Dunkin’ Donuts patrons and hand-delivered doughnuts to local businesses.
"It was so much fun to see their reaction when we asked if Great Lakes Credit Union could pay for their breakfast. Everyone had smiles on their faces! It was such a heartwarming experience," Griselda commented. “We can’t wait to surprise more of our local communities with our Random Acts of Kindness throughout the year!”
All year long employees at GLCU branches will perform various random acts of kindness as a way to make a direct impact and give back to their communities. The Round Lake Beach branch was the first of 14 locations to participate.
