ARLINGTON, Texas – David Turner, a financial services and consulting veteran, has been named Chief Information Officer of Texas Trust CU.
Turner will succeed the retiring Ron Dinwiddie in the Executive Vice President and CIO position, managing the information technology, core systems, cybersecurity, and program management teams.
Turner, currently the Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Portfolio Management, joined Texas Trust in 2012 to manage large projects for the credit union. Since his arrival, the organization has successfully completed 120 enterprise-wide projects, including three mergers, the CU said.
Before joining Texas Trust, Turner was with TransAmerica’s Clark Consulting division, and also led teams at companies such as Ceridian, PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Cartesis division, and UICIA.
Turner has a degree in finance from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from UT Dallas.
Dinwiddie, who was with Texas Trust for five years, was originally brought on board to overhaul the credit union’s technology infrastructure and build an IT team that would help fulfill Texas Trust’s goal of becoming a $1 billion organization. He and Turner worked closely to virtualize the entire network and create a single data center, replace an aging phone system, and improve network speed and reliability, the CU said.
