GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas--This town has honored Alex Godina, Senior Community Engagement Partner at Texas Trust Credit Union, by declaring Sept. 17, Alex Godina Day in Grand Prairie.
Ron Jensen, Mayor of Grand Prairie, issued the proclamation for Alex Godina Day, saluting Godina for “his leadership of the Board of Directors for the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce and celebrate the historic nature of his role as the first Hispanic Chairman of the Board for this chamber, as well as his many other contributions to the entire Grand Prairie community.”
Godina was honored in a ceremony at a meeting of the Grand Prairie City Council.
“This is a tremendous honor,” Godina said. “It has been a pleasure to work with the Chamber and other community organizations in Grand Prairie toward continued improvement in the city, and being recognized with my own special day is deeply appreciated.”
